Instructions before you begin attempting your distance education
course. The instructions here will answer most of your
questions.

Dropping a DE Class
If you decide that you
do not want to be in a class after the class has already started, you
must call the Registrar, (870) 248-4015, or use
CampusConnect
to drop. The amount of tuition refund decreases each day that you
wait to drop.

Office 2007 Required for
All Business Classes in Spring 2008
All business classes MUST use Office 2007 starting in Spring 2008. Microsoft sells this software for $649-679.
If you are a student who meets the following
criteria, you can purchase this software for $59 until April 2008:
- You must have a .edu e-mail address. If you do not, contact
the following people to help you get a .edu account:

Pocahontas Campus
- Joan Linnstaedter at (870) 239-0969 x110
Paragould Campus
- Mike Greene at (870) 248-4000 x4050
- You must be registered for a minimum of 6 hours at BRTC
- You must be able to provide proof of enrollment, such as a student card if
requested by Microsoft. According to Microsoft, "If you are unable to
provide proof of enrollment, you will be required to pay the full retail price
of Office Ultimate 2007," approximately $679.
