Copying One Item Into a Class
If you want to retrieve only one or a few items into a class but not all of
the times that fall under a category from an archive, follow these
instructions:
- Contact Karen Liebhaber
to set up a temporary class for your material.
- Once she has created the class for you, you can continue on with opening
your archive.
- After you have opened your archive into a new class, determine which item
or few items that you want to copy into a new class. You need to know
into which category those items will fall. Here is a list of
categories that you will have available:
- Content
- Course Information
- Course Documents
- Assignments
- External Links
- Announcements
- Calendar
- Collaboration Sessions (Chat Sessions)
- Discussion Board
- Gradebook Items and Settings
- Group Settings
- Staff Information
- Tests, Surveys, and Pools
- After you have determined which category or categories you will be using,
delete the items from that category that you do not want to use.
Note:
You will not be deleting the items from the original archive. Those
items are still safely stored on your computer and will not be effected by
your deletion of items in your class.
- Go to the Control Panel.
- Continue with step #5 in Opening Archived Material in a New Class.
