Recycling Your Blackboard Class 

In order to reuse class materials for next semester, you need to recycle your course.  This is a really simple process.  :-)   

To recycle your Blackboard course, do the following:

1. Login to Blackboard.
2. Access your course.
3. Go to the Control Panel.
4. On the very bottom of the page on the left-hand side, click on Recycle Course.
5. In the second half of the page, choose the items you want recycled.  Remember, though, anything you check will be deleted! Usually you'll choose the following: 
   • Dropbox
   • Messages
   • Statistics
   • Users
   • These items you will usually not want to check:
     • Discussion Board, you'll lose your forums
     • Groups, you'll lose any groups that you have set up
     • Announcements, you will not be able to reuse your announcements
     • Tests, Surveys, and Pools, you will have to create all new assessments
6. Type Remove with the capital R.
7. Click Submit.

You are done!  Your class has now been recycled and is ready to be reused next semester.  All you have to do is enroll students.

Note:  One problem I have been seeing is that the Message are not completely deleted.  You may have to go into your discussion boards and manually remove them.
